Our Team

  • Shane

Nothing is too hard or too outrageous for Shane. A true visionary, his mind works in mysterious and wonderful ways. In 2024, Shane was recognised as the Australian Small Business Champion Awards Entrepreneur of the Year—a testament to his innovative spirit and relentless drive.

Shane has built the company on a solid foundation of continuous learning, expert craftsmanship, and a deep commitment to both his team and the broader community. With over 30 years of hands-on experience in carpentry and joinery, Shane is also a fully licensed plumber across all classes. He holds a Diploma of Building and Construction and carries an Unlimited Domestic Building Licence—one of the industry’s highest credentials.

Known for his problem-solving genius, Shane is the go-to guy when others say a job “can’t be done.” Whether it’s navigating complex renovations, finding solutions that avoid unnecessary demolition, or designing bespoke builds that suit each client’s lifestyle, Shane brings a practical yet creative approach to every project. His dedication to quality, client satisfaction, and mentoring the next generation of tradespeople is woven into the DNA of Plumbstruct Industries.

In his own time, Shane can be foudn burning around on his trail bike, tinkering in the shed or teaching the kids how to use the chainsaw. He also loves a good fishing trip when the weather allows for it.

  • Lara

Business management isn’t just a job for Lara—it’s a passion and a way of life. As the Operations Manager at Plumbstruct Industries, she is constantly learning, refining systems, and fine-tuning workflows to keep everything (and everyone) running smoothly. With a background in social work, Lara brings a deep understanding of people to her role, making her both the logistical backbone and emotional heart of the business.

In 2025, Lara was honoured with the Master Plumbers Excellence in Business Administration Support Award, recognising her outstanding leadership, strategic thinking, and the critical role she plays in the success of Plumbstruct Industries.

From managing schedules and mentoring apprentices to developing systems and juggling the chaos of a busy construction business, Lara keeps calm under pressure and ensures every part of the operation runs like clockwork.

Outside of work, she enjoys creative pursuits—you’ll often find her browsing a craft market, camera in hand, always on the lookout for her next project (or a perfect handmade find).

  • Ray

With over 25 years of experience in the carpentry industry, Ray is a seasoned tradesman who has recently added plumbing to his repertoire. Now a fully qualified and registered plumber, Ray continues to expand his knowledge and impact by studying a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment—paving the way to become a vocational education and training assessor.

Ray has built his own home and is currently renovating his bathroom and alfresco areas to better suit the needs of his growing family. With a deep understanding of both carpentry and plumbing, Ray has a rare ability to see the big picture. He understands how each component of a build interacts with the others and takes pride in making sure everything melds together seamlessly—structurally, functionally, and aesthetically. He is committed to teaching apprentices wherever he can, usually with a quiet cup of coffee in hand and a calm, steady presence on site.

Meticulous and methodical, Ray is a quiet thinker who takes the time to assess every job before jumping in. He’s known for coming up with the best—and neatest—way to achieve the desired outcome. His work is clean, considered, and consistently of the highest quality, often setting the benchmark for others to follow.

Outside of work, Ray enjoys coaching his kids’ basketball team and dabbles in traditional salami making—a true craftsman, both on and off the tools.

  • Brenndan

Having completed his apprenticeship with Plumbstruct Industries, Brenndan has remained a loyal and dedicated member of our team. Now a qualified carpenter, he continues to refine his joinery and carpentry skills while also gaining experience in plumbing fundamentals. He especially enjoys the creative challenge of custom-making furniture, cabinetry, and one-off pieces that reflect his craftsmanship.

Brenndan is the quiet achiever—reliable, hardworking, and always thinking a few steps ahead. But don’t let his calm demeanour fool you—he has a quick wit, a great sense of humour, and is always the first to lend a hand wherever it’s needed.

Outside of work, Brenndan is an active member of the Scouting movement and channels his creative energy into producing unique and thoughtful pieces of art.

  • James

James began his journey with Plumbstruct Industries at just 15 years old as a school-based apprentice, making him our longest-serving team member. Over the years, he’s grown into a highly valued all-rounder and is now a registered plumber currently studying for his licensing exams.

He discovered an early passion for outdoor drainage work—cutting his teeth digging trenches—and has since become our resident expert with a concrete trowel. Hailing from a family of tradesmen, James is naturally multi-skilled, with some seriously sharp carpentry chops to match. Whether it's pipes or timber, he approaches every task with skill and care, always striving for a top-notch finish.

Outside of work, James coaches a junior cricket team that is currently undefeated, and he loves to explore Europe whenever he gets the chance—often returning with stories (and snacks) from abroad.

  • Declan

Declan is now in his fourth year of apprenticeship and has grown into a capable and confident young tradie. No longer just on the end of a shovel, he’s now trusted with more technical and detailed aspects of the job—and for good reason. Declan has a keen eye for detail and takes real pride in getting things just right, whether it's the alignment of tapware or the finishing touches on a fit-off.

In 2024, Declan was recognised for his hard work and attention to detail, winning the Best Apprentice Award at the Tradies in Business Awards. It’s a testament to his high standards and the quality of work he produces on site.

Declan is known for his dry sense of humour, strong work ethic, and fiercely independent approach. He doesn’t need much direction—just give him the task, and he’ll get it done his way (and usually better than expected).

Outside of work, he’s a big fan of live music and footy. And if you're trying to spot him on site, just look for the apprentice covered in artwork.

  • Megan

Megan is the heart of the Plumbstruct Industries office—our go-to person for all things administration, scheduling, and staying organised. As our Office Administration Manager, she keeps the wheels turning behind the scenes with grace, grit, and an unflappable calm that somehow survives even the busiest of build seasons.

Megan first came to know Plumbstruct as a client—having entrusted us to build her own home. That experience gave her valuable insight into how we work, what works best for clients, and where improvements can be made. It also means she brings first-hand empathy and understanding to every client interaction, having sat on both sides of the build process herself.

With a sharp eye for detail and a creative flair for colours, fixtures, and finishes, Megan adds more than just admin support—she helps ensure that the finer touches of every project reflect great design and practical function. She’s no stranger to a male-dominated environment, either. As a mum of three sons, Megan is well-versed in managing chaos, problem-solving on the fly, and keeping things running smoothly with equal parts efficiency and humour.

She’s known in the office for her dry wit, her incredible stationery game, and her no-nonsense approach to keeping the team on track. Whether it’s solving scheduling puzzles, coordinating trades, or making a showroom selection look effortless, Megan brings a level of care and professionalism that elevates everything we do.

Outside of work, she enjoys quiet weekends, a good wine and perhaps a theatre show or two.

  • Georgiana

Georgiana is the creative mind behind everything you see, read, and scroll through at Plumbstruct Industries. As our Social Media and Creative Specialist, she is the one crafting all of our marketing materials—from eye-catching social posts and engaging newsletters to beautifully designed flyers, pamphlets, and client specification documents. If it looks great and sounds polished, chances are Georgiana made it.

With a passion for visual storytelling, Georgiana ensures that every piece of content reflects the Plumbstruct brand—professional, approachable, and full of personality. She also creates detailed 3D renders that bring our clients’ visions to life before construction even begins. Her ability to translate ideas into visuals helps take the guesswork out of building decisions, making it easier for clients to picture their finished space and feel confident moving forward.

Georgiana brings a thoughtful, consistent, and creative approach to everything she touches. She bridges the gap between design and construction, helping clients feel inspired and supported every step of the way.

Outside of work, Georgiana enjoys painting, crafting, and crocheting—creative outlets that feed her artistic flair and love of beautiful detail.

  • Gus

Gus is more than just a pretty (droopy) face—he’s the unofficial mascot, emotional support officer, and floor-sniffing supervisor of Plumbstruct Industries. A well-loved and thoroughly spoiled beagle, Gus takes his role very seriously, keeping a close eye on everything and everyone from his favourite hiding spot in the office.

Known affectionately as Fat Sausage Roll, Gus is renowned for his soulful eyes, gentle nature, and the uncanny ability to appear the moment someone opens a food container. Whether he’s snoring under a desk, trotting between team members for pats, or giving a suspicious side-eye to the postie, Gus brings calm, charm, and a whole lot of beagle attitude to the workplace.

He’s a big part of the team, and while he may not be great with spreadsheets or power tools, he’s an expert at boosting morale, warming hearts, and making sure nobody skips lunch.

Outside of work Gus likes long walks along the beach and meeting new friends.
